Dan Bledsoe of Clayton, Mark Dupree of Fuquay-Varina and Tom Meltzer of Raleigh (from left) were among the Triangle musicians paying tribute to late Beatle George Harrison during a special performance Saturday night at The Coffee Mill. The youngest of the original "Fab Four," Harrison's accomplishments as a songwriter were frequently eclipsed by those of bandmates John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Yet, he penned some of the group's most enduring songs, including 'Taxman,' 'Within You, Without You,' 'Here Comes The Sun' and 'Something.' There was no admittance charge, but money donated from the event will be given to the Johnston County Relay for Life, which raises money for cancer research. Harrison died earlier this year of cancer.
